Genuine Mexico with Type 49 shell
Shell Type 49 shell with steel arches, weld in custom roll cage, large gearbox tunnel, large diff tunnel, gusseted, works style strut brace, weld in seat mounts, bulkhead plated, full respray inside / outside and underside.
Suspension Adjustable shocks, coil overs turreted, 4 linked with watts linkage, anti dive kit, new rubber roller top mounts, poly bushed.
Brakes All 4 disc conversion, new M16 callipers on front, rear callipers are manta front's, braided hoses with new brake pipes through out, new alloy hubs + bearings, new remote servo in foot well.
Rear axle Refurbished Atlas with 3.75 crown wheel, 6 linked to body, new single peace propshaft.
Engine & gearbox Rebuild 2lt pinto with ZX9 carbs (rejetted and manifold made by Bogg Bros) 5 speed type 9 gearbox with H/D cradle, new clutch assembly hydraulic handbrake.
Wheels & tyres New 7 x 13 4 spoke RS style wheels with new 205 x 13 tyres
Interior Weld in Custom roll cage, new retro style seats with new harnesses, front rear bias adjuster repainted, new carpets, new centre console, completely new wiring loom, new front windscreen, new rubbers.
Boot Alloy fuel tank, electric fuel pump, battery, centre spare wheel post, repainted.
I bought the car from someone who had had the car in a garage for around 10 years and when I bought it it was a shell and a box of bits, since i've had it I've had it repainted in the original Sebring red and I've rebuild it with manly new parts, it is a really nice car in really nice condition. Not many original Mexico's around now (I believe only 800?)
The only bad bit's on the car is the O/S headlight is cracked, and a scratch (send picture as necessary) near the petrol cap that I did last weekend putting it back in the garage (gutted) but as its over the stripping a new strip may just be all it needs?
